Sweet Dumplings "Lenivie Vareniki" (Ленивые вареники)

This is a traditional Russian food. Translation would be lazy dumplings, because its easy to make. These are my family favorite.

Ingredients:
2 cups ricotta
2 eggs
2 tbs melted butter
0.5 cup Sugar
1.5 to 2 cups flour
Salt
Butter
Print option

Mix ricotta (tvorog) with eggs, sugar, melted butter.
Add flour mix with the spoon.

First take the dough and knead a little it the flour.
Roll  the dough in the flour into long roll. Cut into strips.

Put in the salted boiling water. Boil for 3-5 min.

Take out with the strainer. Put in the bowl add a piece of butter.

The way we mix it is throwing it up like on the picture.
Mix sour cream with sugar. Dip vareniki in.
    Enjoy!!!

    1. Yes, I did fry these before but it does not have crispy ends like on vareniki. It's still really good.
      Thank you✿✿✿

  6. Hi, Lea. First of all, thank you for sharing with your awesome recipes!
I value your hard work :)
I really want to make these, but my hubby does not like sweet tvorog in anything. Including vareniki, pirojki, nalisniki etc... So, can I omit the sugar and maybe add more of other ingredients?
    Thanks again!

    1. You are welcome:) I happy to help:-) Yes, you can mix tvorog with green onions, dill and eggs. Yummmmmy!!!!! I love this combination green onion and tvorog it' the best. Try it see how it works out for your family. Comeback and let me know if you like it. I only tried this filling with uncooked tortillas.
